In novelus the players create a novel together. It starts with a 30 minute pitch phase, during which players suggest a title, genre and short description for the upcoming sure-to-be masterpiece. Afterwards there's a 10 minute voting phase, during which the winning pitch is selected. Then the real game begins.

In the writing phase a new author is picked every minute. While the chosen one writes the next passage of humanities undoubtable magnum opus the onlookers can add or remove from their writing time, depending on how pleased they are with the current writers work.

You can also like passages, giving the corresponding author a higher score. A score which does essentially nothing except make this project barely passable as a game!
